KERAFIX® 2000 is a high-performance, flexible and heat-resistant insulating material designed specially for applications that require both thermal insulation and fire protection. Produced from soluble mineral fibres, it offers a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional ceramic fibres, as it is asbestos-free and does not contain irritant fibres. The material is extremely lightweight and easy to handle and can be cut, punched or bent into a variety of shapes to meet complex requirements.

Fields of application
  • Sealing and protection for fire-resistant doors and ventilation flaps
  • Protecting lock cases, door locks and panic door locking systems
  • Insulating and sealing household and heating appliances
  • Thermal protection and soundproofing in applications such as lift doors or in transport and shipping
  • Non-combustible substrate for seals for fire-resistant glazing elements
  • Used to improve thermal insulation in fire-resistant constructions

  • Low-weight and flexible
  • Good thermal insulation properties and low thermal conductivity
  • High mechanical strength and resistance to tearing
